Antique 18ct gold carved John Wesley cameo signet ring

This fine 18ct gold cameo ring, is set with a carved portrait of John Wesley the clergy man. Set in a heavy 18ct gold mount with an intermediary french ‘owl’ mark on the outside of the shank. 

The head of the ring measures 2.6cm in length

John Wesley was a theologian and evangelist in the 18th century - he was a leader in the revolution of the Methodist church. 

The cameo is wonderfully carved from natural cameo shell.
